Domestic / agricultural:
A tractor barn in Hertfordshire converted into a contemporary Artist studio and dwelling.
The brief is to create a private garden which connected to the surrounding farmland views. The surrounding contaminated soils needed to be treated or buried on site. The solution was to build two parallel retaining walls, back filled with the contaminated soils and topped with new soil. To the North the soils removed for a lined pond and the soils treated with a willow coppice system.
